Top Things to Do this Summer

all pedicure and summer sandal approved!

Looking for the best things to do this summer while showing off your newly polished toes?

We’ve compiled a list of top things to do while still maintaining a responsible distance - I mean come on, we still need excuses to show off those toes!

All recommendations come with the backing of cute, comfy sandals that are willing to fit your exploring needs!

  1. Take a hike!

Ok, we know what you’re thinking….hiking? How am I supposed to show off my pedicure crammed into sweaty hiking boots?

Simple! Take an easy hike somewhere along a river, to a lake, and wear a pair of cute Tevas! Talk about comfort! You don’t even have to take them off to play in the water - which is great for when you hit those not so pleasant parts of the lake.

Best part? Their colors can complement your fresh pedicure!

Looking for some easy hikes around the Reno-Tahoe area? Here are some easy hikes that you can do in hiking approved sandals:

  • Thomas Creek Trail

  • Eagle Falls Trail - South Lake Tahoe

  • Tahoe Meadows Interpretive Loop - North Lake Tahoe

  • Lake Margaret Trail - South Lake Tahoe

  • Donner Lake Rim Trail - Truckee

2. Hit the Road!

Did you know Nevada has some of the most diverse scenery in the US? I mean honestly - from the Sierra Nevada’s to the Burner Byway (that’s a real thing BTW), Nevada has some seriously interesting landscape.

If you’re in need of a weekend road trip, try any of these unique adventures and you’re sure to find places in Nevada you never knew existed!

Reno to….

3. Take a dip!

Again, break out the sandals, put on your swimsuit, and maybe bring a heat gun because things are about to warm up! That’s right, we’re talkin’ hot spring hunting!

The most important rule about hot springs is to truck in and truck out whatever trash you bring. We want to keep these incredible natural pools pristine for the next adventurer with pretty manicured toes - and all adventures of course!

  • Gold Strike Hot Springs

  • Alkali Hot Springs

  • Twelve-Mile (Bishop Creek) Hot Springs

  • Spencer Hot Springs

4. Get Artsy

Ok, you can put down the art supplies and trade them for keys because we’re hitting the road again! Nevada has some seriously awesome outdoor art! For these treks you’re welcome to wear your cutest - but still comfy pair of flip flops/sandals.

While things may look different this summer, think of it as being pushed outside your normal summer routine and forced to find the unique beauty in your own backyard - all while wearing your favorite pair of summer sandals!

These trips are all SOAK and summer fun approved!
